Descon Conveyor’s loose container conveyor serves as the link between individual machine centers, providing accumulation function. System design factors in considerations such as width of the conveyor, number of transfers, guide rail design and amount of accumulation to absorb product during downstream stoppages, so that more critical machine centers can continue producing. Provides significant accumulation with minimum floor space with simple synchronization between critical machine centers. Suitable for cans, glass and plastic bottles, round and non-round, loose container conveyors, system can be configured to both FIFO (first-in, first-out) accumulation or FILO (first-in, last-out) accumulation.

Vacuum transfer and elevator conveyors support applications such as the removal of down cans from the line or other applications that involve a sudden change in elevation. In horizontal format, the system can handle down can removal and empty can coding applications. Vertical format applications include mass transport of single file but can also be custom designed to suit nearly any elevation change. Side grip elevator for vertical transport applications offers an effective means of elevating or lowering a variety of containers and products when space is at a premium. Product is gently but firmly gripped by the sides and carried through the change in elevation at speeds up to 300 fpm. Side grippers are a soft, pliable material, guaranteed not to damage the container.

Descon manufactures air rinsers for empty bottles and sterilizers for hot-filled container applications. Side-grip ionized air rinsers offer an effective means for removing particulate materials from empty containers prior to filling. Ionized air rinser is simple to operate and easily configured to handle a variety of bottles. Descon’s lay-down head space sterilizers gently change the orientation of a hot-filled container so that the hot product fills the head space until sterilization is reached. Standard unit suits a variety of hot-filled containers (PET, HDPE, glass), with minimal changeover and automatic adjustment to line speed.
