Bessen offers a range of combination scales designed for a range of dry filling applications. Featured amongst Bessen’s six models of combination scales is the Smart Weigh 24 Head Mixing scale, designed to mix small granular products together into one package. Designed for small granular products such as seeds, tea, coffee, beans, corn and rice, the machine is used in high-speed mixing operations for single and multiple discharges. This model can mix two to four ingredients into one destination bag and features 24 hoppers to achieve high accuracy. Other models include the Smart Weigh 16 High Speed Scale for weighing small granular products with high discharge speeds with high accuracy even at speeds of up to 180 drops/min.

Bessen vertical form/fill/seal (vf/f/s) machines are engineered for high readability, easy operation, accuracy, and high packaging speed. Bessen’s three vf/f/s models are capable of working with laminated film and single-layer polyethylene film structures, as well as different styles of bags formats – pillow bags, gusset bags, four-way seal bags, and flat bottom bags. Bessen bagging machines can be equipped with additional options. such as a hole punch, tear notches, end-seal cooling, bag vibration, film tracking, vacuum film assist, bag support, map flushing, air expellers, and bag inflators. Machines can also be fitted with a variety of filling equipment options, including combination scales, linear scales, vibratory feeders, indexing conveyor systems, auger fillers, piston fillers and cup fillers.

Included in Bessen's line of pre-made pouch filling machines is Model 500, an automatic machine that handles stand-up pouch, zipper bags, paper bags in widths from 5- to 16-in and heights from 4.5- to 18-in. Bessen offers options including zipper opener, bag inflater, and bag and hopper shaking features. Other offerings from Bessen include the MINI100 Premade Pouch Machine, an automatic machine that fills bags ranging from 1 oz. to 4 lb. The PMP8-200B Premade Pouch Machine, another automatic model, fills 100- to 600-g in formats including stand-up pouch, handbag, zipper bags, four-side sealing bags, three-side sealing bags, paper bags and compound bags.

Bessen supplies Smart Wrap model horizontal flow wrappers, offering a range of features for versatile applications. SMART WRAP 250 is designed to work with small to medium-sized products. The SMART WRAP 450 is for medium to large-sized products and includes different configuration options depending on the packaging size, paging speed and product output. SMART WRAPPER 250-600X is an inverted flow wrapper that can perform individual or combined product wrapping in plastic packaging. Its system feeds the plastic from the bottom and allows the user to work with soft products and other similar items that are difficult to propel.

Bessen Corp. manufactures two models of tray sealing machines for heat-sealing food products in a modified atmosphere, and offers options for customized tray sealing equipment. SMART 200 tray and SMART Tray 400 are both capable of sealing a wide range of tray material and sizes using a variety of different film materials. All of Bessen's machines are customized to fit the individual manufacturing needs and specific tray sizes of the customer.

Bessen’s metal detectors include the QX Sirius Horizontal Metal Detector, used in food, pharmaceutical, textile and other types of applications. QX Series metal detectors can be equipped with different types of rejection systems and integrated with a checkweighing system. The GX Sirius is a vertical drop metal detector, designed for powder and flour products in food, pharmaceutical, chemical and other industries. GX Series metal detectors are equipped with active rejection systems that will reject a portion of the dropped load that contains contaminants, which can be stored in a locked container until an operating manager reviews the rejected product.
